When we announced the in.gredients project in summer 2011, we received myriad requests from folks in our community who wanted to get involved by volunteering. We were humbled by your enthusiasm, and created the in.volved program to give us a chance to meet each other and mobilize our collective energy and skills to help our community.
Welcome to in.volved, a community volunteer program driven by the in.gredients community. The purpose of in.volved: to mobilize friends of in.gredients and give back to the Austin community. In addition to helping with store build-out efforts and events at in.gredients’ Manor Road storefront, in.volved encourages positive community engagement through a variety of service opportunities.
in.volved projects will include serving through in.gredients, local non-profits, and local schools that focus on strengthening the community and providing education on the importance of healthy, sustainable lifestyles.
Our program’s divided into a 3-tier system designed to give recognition and rewards for time volunteered. Once enrolled, simply submit your hours via our “I Volunteered” Form for verification, and watch as your accumulated points earn you perks and invites to exclusive in.volved events.
You can claim your points using our “I Volunteered” Form. You’ll need your ING number handy.
If you’ve already signed up as a volunteer, you already have an ING number! If you don’t have an ING number, click sign up as a volunteer. If you’ve forgotten your ING number, don’t worry! It’s in the subject line of the email we sent you when you signed up as a volunteer; if you no longer have that email, fill out this form and we’ll get your number to you.

Urban Patchwork (UP) is Austin’s first neighborhood-scale farm non-profit. UP works with residents in several Austin neighborhoods to turn unused yard space into community farmland that provides fresh, organically-grown produce, and eggs to the nearby residents of each neighborhood farm. The non-profit offers farm start-up programs, workshops, training and job creation, yearly support, and the benefits of being connected to a larger network of communities and farms across Austin. Volunteer Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 7:45am-12:30pm in Urban Patchwork’s gardens (more info here) or check out their calendar for special events and other ongoing projects.
