Weekly Recipe

Teriyaki Beef (Or Mushroom) Kebabs

in.gredients

  • 1 bottle Organicville Teriyaki Marinade
  • 1-3/4 pounds beef stew meat
  • (or 1/2 pound halved fresh crimini mushrooms)
  • 1 large zucchini, rounds
  • 1 large yellow squash, rounds
  • 1 large sweet onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 red potato, cut into wedges

  1. Pour the marinade in a large resealable plastic bag. Set aside 1/2 cup for basting and refrigerate. Add beef to remaining marinade; turn to coat. Seal bag; refrigerate for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  2. Drain and discard the marinade. On metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternate beef, mushrooms, zucchini, potato, onions and squash. Grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side. Baste with reserved marinade. Continue turning and basting for 8-10 minutes or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°). Serve meat and vegetables over rice if desired. Yield: 6-8 servings.

Been meaning to make it out for Thursday night Trivia?  Grab a few friends and come on down this week!  The winners (and runners-up) walk away with prizes, and pretty much everyone has a good time.  Note that the content is not intended for young children.  


Zumba With Rhonda

Saturday, May 9th at 10:30am

Zumba returns to our lawn this Saturday morning! Join Rhonda for some “sassy dancing” and fun tunes to work up a sweat and get yourself a good work out.  Bring comfortable clothing, athletic shoes, and a towel, and get your weekend off to a good start!  The class is free and participants get $1 off kombucha afterward!

If you’ve been on the block for a while you might have seen this multi talented gentleman hanging out.  Carter Francis (Play By NumbersAgain For The Win, StumbleDrunkjumps on our porch this weekend to share some of his original tunes along with a few old favorites. Join Sukyi from Fifth Dimension Books – Austin’s Weird, Wandering Bookmobile – along with Octavia the puppet and her friends, as they bring the joy of reading to children (ages 0 to 5). Read, sing, play games, and dance while enjoying the in.gredients lawn and playground. This is a free weekly event

Wine of the Week: Pedernales Cellars 2013 Vino Blanco


Each year Pedernales Cellars re-crafts the mix and balance of varietals in the blend that makes up the Vino Blanco. They try to make a thoroughly enjoyable blend that highlights the range of fruit aromas possible in a Texas white wine. Coffee of the Month: Equal Exchange Rabble Rouser
