With Election Day more or less behind us (although run-offs are likely in a few districts!) and Halloween done and gone, it’s time to look towards cooler weather and the holidays. That means more time in the warmth of the kitchen, gatherings and gifts, and the end of the school semester. We hope you’ll keep us in mind as you navigate this seasonal shift. We’re a great source for high-quality, local ingredients for those homemade soups and breads, pies and popovers, or to find the perfect gift for the locavore foodie on your list.
As the cold weather moves in, we want to make it easy for you to stay warm and relish this seasonal change. Find our adorable tea pots, tea towels, and fashionable Little Minnow Scarves on sale (great gifts!) plus some other teas and accessories.
Come compete with your friends and neighbors for some coveted prizes (including $25 and $10 store credit for first and second place, respectively). This is a free and open event but please note that the content is not intended for children.

Wine of the Week: HaaK 2012 Malbec
This week’s wine comes from Haak Winery, and, like all of our wines, features 100% Texas fruit. It’s a complete sensory party with an inky, brooding beauty about it and tannins that warm the mouth. Supple but refined, this Malbec does not intrude on the palate. The aroma ofsweet violets blends with blackberry, blueberry, plum, and cocoa bean. Enjoy this aromatic wonder by the glass in.house or take a bottle home (10% OFF!) to sip over a meal.

Weekly profiles of some of our favorite regulars
Describe yourself in 3 words: Sofa, King, Awesome.
What’s your favorite part about the neighborhood? Not to be cheese, but the community and this store!
How did you hear about in.gredients? Well, my husband and his brother were shooting the idea around years ago! It was inspired by a few different spots they’d visited over the years in Chattanooga, San Francisco, and even here in ATX. It was all about reducing the amount of waste they saw themselves producing at home.
Why do you come back? The team teaches me something new every time I walk into the store!
What are you favorite things about in.gredients? Once again, it’s all about the Team. Plus, the layout of the store is so simple, I love it. The level of community and bringing everyone in the neighborhood together is wonderful, too.
If you were to describe in.gredients in one word, what would it be? Greatness
Last but not least, if you were a fruit or vegetable, what would you be and why? A watermelon (not seedless!) because it’s sweet but the seeds can be annoying (and I know I can be annoying sometimes, too ;)
