Scary Movie Screenings

In the spirit of the coming holiday, we’ll be screening old scary movies under our pergola every night this week. Starting after dark (~8pm Tue + Wed) and after trivia (9pm) on Thursday, come hang under the pergola and get in the mood for Friday.

Wine of the Week: McPherson 2012 Sangiovese
Sangiovese is an Italian cultivar that is well suited for Texas’ unforgiving climate. Working with this varietal for over a decade, McPherson Cellars has developed a consistent style whichmimics many of the Sangiovese wines of Tuscany. At the heart of the bouquet is a stunning red licorice and black cherry cola aroma. Aged in French oak marries this varietal character with a delicate oak nuance and adds a beautiful texture. What’s your favorite part about the neighborhood? I like the openness and the candor of this community. There’s respect for each other and a willingness to have a beer or coffee together.
How did you hear about in.gredients? My friend Rosemary, she invited us to come by.
Why do you come back? I like the people who work here, I also like the group of friends I have here. It’s comfortable and there’s a sense of belonging. Everyone is so helpful.
What are you favorite things about in.gredients? First, the staff. Next, the location (even though it’s far from me). The last thing, it’s a nice set up for multiple purposes: studying, hanging out, etc.
If you were to describe in.gredients in one word, what would it be? Community
Last but not least, if you were a fruit or vegetable, what would you be? I guess a cherry? Soft on the ouside, but with a pit.
