To kick off our new partnership with Literacy Coalition, we’re having our second-ever “First Friday Block Party” this Friday evening. We know it’s ACL, but let’s be honest: you don’t have tickets yet and don’t really want to deal with the mayhem anyway. Come hang with us up here and support your local ‘hood.

Plus, Sriracha (Non-GMO) Popcorn for some serious snacking satisfaction and an organic ketchup to keep your pantry stocked with healthy, quality ingredients.
Austin Slow Food invites you to come learn about chem-free and humane bee rescue from long-time in.gredients friend, Daniel “DJ” Schmalz. More info here.

Wine of the Week: Pedernales Cellars 2012 Texas GSM
This 2012 vintage represents the 5th year of their Rhone-style blend incorporating Syrah, Mourvedre, and Grenache from their estate Hill Country vineyard and partner vineyards in Texas. A medium body blend, it brings together the diverse character of all three varieties for a fantastic balance that delivers aromas of blueberry and chocolate with subtle spicy pepper notes.
