Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that you’re with your loved ones, enjoying a day off and surrounded by the smell of food cooking. By now, you have your menu planned and, most likely, your cooking is already under way. So our recipe today revolves around the libations.

Mulled wine is the perfect beverage to add to your Thanksgiving menu.  With its spicy flavor and seasonal ingredients, it’s a beverage that can be served throughout the holiday season.

The best thing about this recipe is it (most likely) won’t require another trip to the store. Most of us have these ingredients in our pantry. All you’ll need is some red wine, and you’re set.

This recipe only requires 10 minutes (no more time consuming recipes this Thanksgiving!) and you’ll have spiced mulled wine to serve to your full, happy guests.

Happy eating (or drinking!)

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 3 star anise
  • 4 oranges, peeled for garnish (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and pour into mugs. Garnish with an orange peel and serve.
