Austin’s Recycled Reads

leave a comment »

Have any of you been to Recycled Reads? It’s Austin Public Library’s used bookstore, primarily run by volunteers. The store’s books are provided by community donations or withdrawn from the city’s public libraries. What they’re unable to sell isn’t landfilled, but instead sent to third-party recyclers that fund and support literacy programs.

Recycled Reads, like in.gredients, is an active participant in the City’s Zero Waste Plan! Check ’em out Thursday through Sunday, from 12-6PM.
