We updated our FAQ page last this afternoon! We’ve received myriad emails with questions and helpful feedback, and picked your most common questions to add to our FAQs. Check it out.

If we haven’t responded to our submission to our Feedback page, be patient. :-) We’ve read all your messages – they’ve been very helpful!

  1. What about pricing? Will it be comparable to the chain grocery stores?

    • You raise a great point, Phylis. Thanks! We may consider adding this to the FAQ soon.

Ideally, our prices will be comparable – but we must stress here the philosophical differences between our business model and those of chain supermarkets, and acknowledge the truth that you *will* pay more for good food for many complex reasons at the industry-level. While most supermarkets promote consumerism (and therefore higher waste patterns) with store layout and price structures (“buy more for less”), we promote healthy eating and portion size with good in.gredients without packaging. Because of this, we don’t compare ourselves to supermarkets. Our goals are different.

Because we want to make good food more accessible to those who don’t have good food nearby, we’ll do everything we can to make prices comparable – and open our stores in areas that aren’t served by grocers that offer organic, local food. We have a few posts on our blog re: these issues – check ’em out for further perspective!
