El Lago brand products have been gracing the tables of Texans and their favorite Tex-Mex restaurants for over 30 years. The city of Austin has long been known as a mecca for healthy living. We at El Lago also believe in healthy life style. We strive to use natural ingredients in all our products. The corn that we use for both the tortillas and chips are non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) certified. Our masa contains only lime, corn and water. That’s it!

Tortilla Chips: El Lago’s tostada chip, “The Restaurant Chip,” is made from stone ground white corn (non-GMO) and prepared with 100% Canola Oil. We pay a premium to use Canola Oil for its recognized health advantages and to enhance the real corn taste.
Flour tortillas (white and whole wheat, no preservatives): El Lago flour tortillas are made with flour and water and shortening with a little baking powder and a lot of care. The dough is rolled and kneaded and made into balls. Each ball is pressed into a tortilla and baked just enough to remove the water from the equation. Then the tortillas are cooled before packaging. The El Lago tortilla is ready to reheat at home for many uses. The flour tortillas puff up when heated to make the perfect tortilla to accompany your meal.
