What type of equipment and vendors are you currently looking for to complete 0.5 ?
November 30, 2011 at 9:19 pm
Hey DJ, we’re procuring vendors for (in general) the items on our Products page. Equipment refers to all of the mechanics to make our store function – big items like product bins, taps, sinks to small items like doorknobs, light switches, and signage. 0.5, an ongoing effort, will likely be completed just before we hit 1.0.

Thanks for the reply. I ask because myself and/or others may have some of the things you all need. I’d love to help you all reuse on each and every scale, be it bringing my own packaging and bags once you open to donating an extra faucet or building material to help get the store ready! Maybe you could start a running list of needs on this site?

I just learned about your store and am feeling enamored. What an amazing idea, and in an ideal place that really needs it. I am new to Austin from Seattle and am looking for some solid, eco-friendly work. I searched your site for job opportunities and couldn’t find anyone, so figured I’d post. Are you guys fully staffed yet, or still looking for employees? Or…are you volunteer-run? So curious!

Lauren, thanks for writing! We’re so glad you’re excited and interested in our cause. We’ll be a for-profit business that proves it can help the community with a triple bottom line (economical, ecological, and social… read more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_bottom_line).
To answer your questions… we’ll be hiring outstanding employees for the store closer to opening day. Duties will include cashiering, inventory, and other tasks that make the store run with excellence. You can send us your resumé (in PDF form) if you’d like to email@example.com. You can also sign up to volunteer on our contact us page: http://in.gredients.com/contact-us/.
Thanks… look forward to meeting you!

It has been about a year that randomly a Cali friend posted a link about your business plan, quickly interested I have been following ever since all the way from Plymouth MA. Now we are moving to Austin and I will actually get to be apart of the Grand Opening! Very cool. Maybe I will meet some new interested people who really care and believe in change :-)

Same for me! I heard about it about a year ago and have been following progress. Now, I happen to be moving to Austin in one week and can’t wait to experience this store when it opens!

Awesome!! My husband and I were talking about this concept the other day, thrilled to discover that it already exists- we have not the time nor the talent (or capitol for that matter…) to make it happen ourselves but will hope that in.gredients makes it way to Chicago someday!
