Reusing Your Shoes
Got shoes that you don’t need anymore? According to Recyclebank, a company that rewards people for taking everyday “green” actions, “300 million pairs of reusable, wearable shoes are tossed into landfills each year” (Earth911).
To reduce this abundance of waste, Recyclebank and ShoeBox Recyclying have teamed up to take your old, but still wearable, shoes and re-distribute them to developing countries with little access to affordable footwear. What a great way to clear out your closet and reduce waste simultaneously!
